Member Code of Conduct Acknowledgement

This Member Code of Conduct Acknowledgement forms part of the Membership Application and Annual Renewal process. Its purpose is to ensure a safe, respectful, inclusive, and enjoyable environment for all members, guests, staff, coaches, volunteers, and visitors.

By signing below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to comply with the Member Code of Conduct and the standards set out therein following standards of conduct for the duration of my membership. I understand that acceptance of this acknowledgment is a mandatory condition of membership and membership renewal.

I accept responsibility for my own conduct and the conduct of my guests while on Club premises or participating in Club activities.

I acknowledge that failure to comply with the Member Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or termination of membership without refund.

1. General Member Conduct Expectations

Members are expected to agree to:

Treat all members, guests, staff, coaches, volunteers, and visitors with courtesy, dignity, and respect at all times.

Refrain from abusive, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, or aggressive behaviour, whether verbal, physical, or written.

Follow all posted rules, policies, and directions issued by authorized Club representatives.

Conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the Club, both on and off Club premises.

Accept full responsibility for the behaviour and conduct of their guests.

2. On-Court Conduct

Members agree to:-

Demonstrate good sportsmanship, honesty, and respect consistent with the spirit of the game.

Wear proper tennis attire and non-marking footwear.

Avoid racquet throwing, excessive noise, profanity, intimidation, or unsportsmanlike conduct.

Respect other players’ safety, concentration, and scheduled playing time.

Comply with all court booking, etiquette, and usage policies.

3. Off-Court & Clubhouse Conduct

Members agree to:

Maintain a family-friendly, respectful environment.

Respect Club facilities, equipment, and property.

Comply with policies regarding alcohol, smoking, cannabis, and prohibited substances.

Follow directions issued by Club staff or authorized representatives.

4. Interaction with Staff & Volunteers

Members acknowledge:

Staff and volunteers are authorized to enforce Club rules.

Members must not harass, intimidate, or attempt to direct staff.

Concerns regarding staff must be raised through proper Club channels.

5. Enforcement & Repercussions

Rosedale Tennis Club reserves the right to address breaches of this Code of Conduct.

Disciplinary actions may include:

Verbal or written warnings

Removal from Club premises

Temporary suspension of privileges

Termination of membership without refund

Refusal of future membership renewal

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate disciplinary action.
